So, we had no choice but to make a stop
Couldn’t light a fire and we’re low on stock
It is far from ideal stopping here on open ground
We haven’t covered enough distance, it’s too easy to be found.
The land is dusty here, filled with graveyard rocks
There is no clean water and the howling never stops
In the darkness and the stillness sleep is nowhere to be found.
Chase the sky from dawn to twilight, skim the night sky like a pilot
Speed through heat and noise and silence,
Turn the day from red to violet.
If we ever get there, I will be amazed
There were far too many promises
And the overwhelming sense of hopelessness…
When the morning comes it’s almost a surprise that we’re all still here
Then with tired eyes we turn and watch the storming clouds approach.
Chase the sky from dawn to twilight, skim the night sky like a pilot
Speed through heat and noise and silence,
Turn the day from red to violet
And you fly over mountains, and you’re shaving the sea
And you’re floating through clouds back in time to me.

A sleeping marvel

From all this drudgery!

Into The City
04:03
|
|||
Into the city, out of the Sun
Threatening Angles, towering shards
Replace light with a hot, distant hum
Silvery sinew, hammering hard
And the tremors wash the sky away
And the vapours choke the heart, squeezing its love away
Into the city, into the dark
Into the body's withering arms
Graze the sky drawing iron clouds down
Smothering pity mothering harm
And the pillars hold the sky at bay
And antennas' dreadful buzz tearing the soul away

Hotpants and Bettie

Hotpants and Bettie heading into town
Who knows what the evening will bring around
Hotpants and Bettie on The Underground
They’re keen to see what will be going down.
Hotpants wanna do it
Wanna do it soon
Grabs Bet by the shoulders
Says, "Listen Betty-Boo, let's get this started!"
Let’s get it started, Bettie.
Lets get this started
Let’s get it started, Bettie!”
Hotpants and Bettie ready to begin
They're loving the life that they're living in
Hotpants and Bettie, never be denied
They plot and plan for when they get inside.
Full of frolicks, full of fun fun fun!
Gonna do it, get it done done done!
Full of vigor, full of vim
Tell the doorman, “Gotta let us in!”
Hotpants and Bettie, heading to the city,
Heading to town heading to town
Hotpants and Bettie, heading to the city
Heading to town heading to town
Hotpants and Bettie, heading to the city
Heading to town heading to town
Hotpants and Bettie, heading to the city
Heading to town heading to town.
Slay Kweens!
“Lets get this started
Let’s get it started, Bettie”
Lets get this started
Let’s get it started, Bettie!”
Hotpants and Bettie heading into town
Who knows what the evening will bring around.

Pollen Bomb
04:15
|
|||
I’m a man but I know that I must fear the thunder
For the fever will come when the grains split asunder
When they burst and they break into particles tiny
When the wind whips them up and the outcome is murder
All the trees hold the dust like a sort of a weapon
It’s a bomb that they’re using because they are threatened
They can see they can feel and they know what we’re doing
So they’re turning the hayfever up to eleven
And the trees say ‘suck on my pollen bomb’
And the trees say ‘suck on my pollen bomb’
And the trees say ‘suck on my pollen bomb’
And the trees say ‘suck on my pollen bomb’
When I think about all of the wrong we are doing
And I walk in the woods and I feel trouble brewing
And the branches reach out and the blossom it trembles
And I know that my breathing is going to be ruined
And the trees say ‘suck on my pollen bomb’
And the trees say ‘suck on my pollen bomb’
And the trees say ‘suck on my pollen bomb’
And the trees say ‘suck on my pollen bomb’
When the sunshine is hot and the wind is so very strong and dry
We must all be prepared for a yellowy cloud-haze in the sky
Itchy throat, runny nose and a terrible watering of the eyes
And a headache that pounds and annoys and is frequently reprised
All the trees are prepared - resolving to fight us
So be ready for coughing and sinusitis

The One Second Hand
06:32
|
|||
The one second hand is holding back time
And counting out the beat of the stars
The second third of the first of the fifth
Saved at the eleventh hour
And in the morning when the optimist’s glass is empty,
The pessimist takes a bow
And in the flowering of the hope in a heart there’s plenty
Of an optimistic vision of now.
Ghost kangaroos on a farm in Devon
Had you all in sixes and sevens
The eight O nine hits waterloo on time
You wrote this song by ten past eleven
And in the evening when the pessimist’s glass is missing,
The optimist is missing as well
And in the fleeting little moments of life that glisten,
The optimist is ringing the bell.
Shake off the skin that holds you within
You gotta pick a pocket or two
Things start to spin, maybe someone will win
A jet is worth a rocket or two
And the fleecing little motives in life that hasten
The optical illusions, and how.
Angels standing in a world of fog
Underestimate the underdog
Home and dry inside a plastic log
Silent diorama dialogue
Play so far away in vain with the spider
Twice the calf and half the bull
Put all the better bark in a box
And head deep into the dell
And the fearing little molars whose lives are missing
The optimal lucid endow.
Angel standing in a world of fog
Don’t underestimate the underdog
Home and dry inside a plastic log
Silent diorama dialogue.
So far away, in a world of fog, shake the skin, one second hand.

Dog and The Duck
04:26
|

Let’s grab a table at ‘The Moon’
They’ve a lovely brew
And we said we’d go back soon.
Or there’s that place next to the sea
With the salty beer
And the rumpled licensee.
Or we could crawl
To the bestest bar of all…
Dog and The Duck
Dog and The Duck
Huggin' and a-kissin’ at The Dog and The Duck
Dog and The Duck
Dog and The Duck
Huggin’ and a-kissin’ at The Dog and and and and and Duck.
Dog and The Duck
Dog and The Duck
Kissing and a-huggin’ at The Dog and The Duck
Dog and The Duck
Dog and The Duck
Huggin’ and a-kissin’ at The Dog and The Duck.
There could be hotels in the sky
With a neon sign and the bar is ten miles high
Their foaming yards of Flemish ale
With a golden hue couldn’t match it sad but true.
It was such a find
The place our hearts entwined.
Dog and The Duck
Dog and The Duck
Huggin' and a-kissin’ at The Dog and The Duck
Dog and The Duck
Dog and The Duck
Huggin’ and a-kissin’ at The Dog and and and and and Duck.
Dog and The Duck

Huggin' and a-kissin’ at The Dog and The Duck
Dog and The Duck
